What are the different types of fiber paper?
In the insulation systems of high-temperature equipment and industrial furnace linings, ceramic fiber paper is widely used due to its lightweight structure, flexibility, high-temperature resistance, low thermal conductivity, and easy processing. It is commonly applied in gaskets, sealing layers, thermal barriers, expansion compensation layers, and precision insulation. As a professional manufacturer of high-temperature fiber materials, CCEWOOL has developed multiple types of fiber paper products to satisfy different temperature ranges, corrosive atmospheres, and fire-protection requirements, ensuring reliable performance across complex industrial conditions.

CCEWOOL ceramic fiber paper is the most common type of ceramic fiber paper. It is made from high-purity alumina–silica fibers and offers excellent thermal insulation and thermal shock resistance. Even under long-term thermal cycling, it retains flexibility and strength without becoming brittle or powdering. It is widely used in steel metallurgy, casting, heat treatment, and high-temperature sealing in industrial furnaces, making it one of the most broadly utilized fiber paper products in the high-temperature insulation field.
CCEWOOL Intumescent Ceramic Fiber Paper
For operating environments that require expansion under heat, CCEWOOL provides intumescent ceramic fiber paper. This paper starts to expand at 250–300°C and forms a denser thermal barrier, effectively blocking heat, flame, and smoke. It is widely used in fire doors, flue ducts, HVAC air systems, and battery safety protection. It is a type of ceramic fiber paper that combines insulation with an active fire-safety barrier.
CCEWOOL Ceramic Fiber Retardant Paper
For areas exposed to continuous flame and high-temperature exhaust erosion, CCEWOOL offers ceramic fiber retardant paper. It maintains structural integrity and toughness under high temperatures, without carbonizing or shedding. It is ideal for fireproof partitions, refractory blankets, fire-blocking applications, and flame-resistant insulation in high-temperature equipment, providing long-lasting flame protection.
CCEWOOL Low Bio-Persistent Fiber Paper
In response to increasing environmental regulations and personnel health requirements, CCEWOOL developed low bio-persistent fiber paper (also known as soluble fiber paper / AES fiber paper). It generates significantly less dust, feels softer to the touch, and complies with both EU and U.S. health and safety standards. While environmentally friendly and installation-friendly, it still delivers stable thermal insulation and temperature performance. It is particularly recommended for heating equipment, food-processing devices, HVAC systems, and residential or commercial heat-source applications requiring strict environmental compliance.
CCEWOOL Polycrystalline Wool Fiber Paper
For extreme high-temperature and corrosive environments, CCEWOOL provides polycrystalline wool fiber paper. Made from high-alumina polycrystalline fibers, it offers a maximum service temperature of 1600°C. Even in strong acidic, alkaline, metallic vapor, and reducing atmospheres, it maintains exceptionally low shrinkage and structural stability. It is primarily used in aerospace thermal protection, high-temperature reactors, nuclear applications, and insulation for high-temperature smelting zones. It is the highest-temperature-resistant type within the ceramic fiber paper series.
Whether for harsh high-temperature zones, fire-critical areas, or environmentally regulated industrial environments, CCEWOOL provides corresponding ceramic fiber paper solutions. Custom options are available for thickness, density, width, and special-shaped parts, ensuring more efficient, reliable, and durable insulation and sealing performance under real operating conditions.
