Ceramic insulation blanket’s low density and energy saving in furnace
Low density of ceramic insulation blanket is the biggest advantage in furnace construction, less than 0.2g/cm3. So the kiln that adopts CCEWOOL ceramic fiber products, energy-saving effect can reach 30%-35%. It can reach fast sintering, achieving higher thermal efficiency utilization. This is the most obvious sign in the field of building, sanitary and ceramics in recent years, ceramic fiber technology and product innovation have greatly improved.
Periodic kiln, for example, gradually all adopt ceramic insulation blanket as refractory materials, all lined with 98% content Al2O3 and SiO2 ceramic fiber, the operation temperature up to 1600 ℃. Due to good insulation effect, its facades heat temperatures can fall below 60 ℃. Usually the kiln wall is total six layers, the outermost is 3 mm thickness carbon steel plate, followed by a second layer of 50 mm thickness asbestos. The third layer is 25 mm thickness, density 64kg/m3 of ceramic insulation blanket. The fourth layer is 25 mm thickness, density 98kg/m3 ceramic insulation blanket, the innermost layer of 25 mm thickness, density 128kg/m3 ceramic fiber insulation blanket, or use vacuum ceramic fiber board.
At present, as pure ceramic fiber as furnace lining’s technology becomes mature, the use of fiber plus part of another type of furnace refractories reduced.
