The reason why ceramic fiber paper with low thermal conductivity

1. Fiber’s heat transfer and conduction
Since ceramic fiber paper’s fibers interwoven and no direction, there are various directions of the fibers. And the heat is transferred along the fiber, and few fibers are perpendicular to the hot face. In addition, fibers overlap between each other, which increases the thermal resistance. So thermal effects of heat within the ceramic fiber paper is not obvious.
2.Fiber’s radiative heat transfer
CCEWOOL ceramic fiber paper’s fibers are not transparent that the heat rays can not penetrate the fibers and the fibers are very small and thin. Then it can not be well accepted heat radiation, so the heat transfer effect is not obvious.
3. The gas’s convective heat transfer
Because ceramic fibers overlap with each other, so the ceramic fiber paper formed a lot of inside gas storage. The gas warehouse stores large amounts of air that causing air can not flow freely, generally is relatively static. Gas’s heat absorption can only propagating inside the gas, because gas has a very small thermal conductivity in the stationary state, so the ceramic fiber paper transfers the heat by gas is impossible.
