Does other chemicals influence ceramic fiber’s property besides AL content?

     In many years of ceramic fiber application, we found that the actual temperature does not exceed the temperature range, but the ceramic fiber has occurred serious shrinkage pulverization. Upon examination of chemical composition, Al2O3 content meets product requirements, while SiO2 content is lower, and Fe2O3, CaO, MgO, Na2O, K2O and other impurities are found excessive. Such impurities are low melting point oxides, and an excess of low melting point oxides will lead to low eutectic point of ceramic fibers. If impurities are over 3.5%, it will result in the actual use temperature reducing almost 100C compared with the ratio control in less than 1%.

     Therefore, when we are in the selection of ceramic fiber material, not only to test Al2O3, but also strictly control other impurities.                        

     Refractory ceramic fiber

     Double egret’s new listing--PUREWOOL, adopts high-purity alumina powder, and the iron content is only 0.13%. Tensile strength is up to 0.07MPa. Under the same circumstance, it’s service life is 20% longer.
