Several errors and Analysis on the performance of ceramic fiber:
1.Mistakes on ceramic fibers’ using temperature:
The identification of temperature parameters is very confusing:The using temperature, maximum using temperature, extreme temperature, classification temperature, long-term operating temperature and other different identification.In fact, the using temperature of ceramic fiber is not only related to the chemical composition of the material, but also closely related to the using atmosphere, fuel and environmental conditions.
2.Mistakes on ceramic fibers’ density:
Ceramic fiber is composed of Al2O3 and SiO2,Its heat capacity is basically same with refractory brick, but because of the fiber products( such as felt, blanket) using fiber weaving method,forming loose unit structure,the density of the product is greatly reduced,so the thermal conductivity is changed. The density of ceramic fiber is in the range of 80 to 350kg/m3,with the increase of bulk density, the thermal conductivity will decrease gradually and heat loss will also reduce gradually. However, with the increase of density, the properties of loose unit structure will also decreased,when the density is greater than 400kg/m3, the thermal conductivity will increase, at the same time energy saving will reduce. So it is not desirable to pursue too low or too high density.
3. Mistakes on ceramic fibers’ slag content:
Slag content in ceramic fiber is an important factor affecting bulk density. Slag content’s density is in rang of 2800 ~ 3200kg/m3,When the slag content is too much,it will reduce the comprehensive energy-saving performance, while damaging the interests of the users. So when identify the density of ceramic fiber, we need to take full account of the slag content.CCEWOOL slag content(impurity) is less than 12%. the lower shot content the more Energy saving and service life is longer.
