Application of ceramic fiber insulation in heat treatment resistance furnace
Main composition of ceramic fiber insulation is alumina and silica. It has the quality of light weight, soft, low thermal capacity, low thermal conductivity, good thermal insulation etc. When heat treatment furnace is insulated with this material the furnace will have the advantages of fast heating and low heat consumption, at 1000 ℃ heat loss of furnace is only 1/3 of the light clay brick, is 1/20 of the common refractory brick.

Modification of heat treatment resistance furnace
Generally, we use ceramic fiber insulation blanket or ceramic fiber insulation molding products to build furnace lining. It is the envelope method. When modification, take out electric stove out first, then glue or wrap a layer of refractory fiber felt with thickness 10~15mm. Then used heat resistant steel, bracket and “T”size clip to fix the felt. After that put the wire in. Considering the fiber will shrink at high temperature, the connecting part of fiber blanket should be thickened.
The advantage of modifying furnace with enveloping method is that there is no need to change furnace power, material consumption is low, cost is low, easy to modify and the power saving effect is significant.
Ceramic fiber insulation being used in heat treatment resistance furnace is a beginning, we believe its application scope will be expanding day by day. It will play its role in the energy saving area. It will also shorten the heating up time, improve equipment utilization and labor productivity.
