- Bio Soluble Fiber Blanket

CCEWOOL Bio Soluble (Low Biopersistent) Fiber Blanket is made from alkaline earth silicate and is a calcium-magnesium insulating fiber. It is referred to as a soluble fiber because it has some solubility in bodily fluids. The introduction of MgO and CaO in soluble fibers enhances their flexibility, elasticity, and provides excellent thermal and mechanical performance.

Recently, CCEWOOL successfully shipped one 40HC container of 1600°C Polycrystalline Wool Fiber Modules to a Spanish customer with whom we have maintained cooperation for eight years.
These products will be used for the hot-face upgrade and furnace roof reconstruction of a metallurgical high-temperature sintering furnace. The equipment operates at temperatures approaching 1500°C for extended periods and experiences periodic temperature fluctuations, placing high demands on both the thermal stability of the insulation materials and their compatibility with the furnace structure.
In addition to the polycrystalline wool fiber modules, the customer also ordered several complementary insulation materials for different parts of the furnace lining system:
CCEWOOL Inorganic Ceramic Fiber Board – used as a furnace wall backup layer
CCEWOOL 1430HZ Ceramic Fiber Blanket – used as a transition insulation layer
CCEWOOL Calcium Silicate Board – used for cold-face structural support and thermal isolation
The combined shipment of multiple products demonstrates the coordinated configuration of a complete high-temperature insulation system.

Fabrication Capability: Custom Module Design Based on Customer Samples
For this project, the customer required module dimensions that would precisely match the existing furnace roof structure and anchor layout. To ensure compatibility with the equipment, the customer provided physical samples and structural parameters for reference.
Based on these engineering inputs, CCEWOOL developed a custom Fabrication solution, producing polycrystalline fiber modules in the size of 50 × 300 × 300 mm to meet the furnace roof space and installation requirements.

Fabrication Compatibility Improving Installation Efficiency
For large high-temperature sintering furnaces, the dimensional compatibility of lining materials directly affects both installation efficiency and structural reliability.
In this project, the custom-fabricated polycrystalline fiber modules demonstrated strong adaptability during installation:
Module dimensions matched the furnace roof structure precisely
Tight module installation improved lining continuity
On-site installation efficiency was significantly improved
Because the module specifications were optimized during the manufacturing stage, the installation process required less on-site adjustment and minimized secondary processing.

Eight Years of Cooperation Built on Proven Engineering Performance
Throughout the long-term partnership, the Spanish customer's evaluation of CCEWOOL polycrystalline wool fiber modules has been based primarily on their performance in actual sintering furnace operations.
According to customer feedback:
Under continuous operation near the design temperature, the CCEWOOL polycrystalline wool fiber modules maintained stable structural integrity without abnormal shrinkage or loosening. Even under repeated start-stop cycles and temperature fluctuations, the furnace lining remained continuous and stable, ensuring reliable system operation.
The customer also emphasized that the Fabrication-based custom module specifications significantly improved installation efficiency while simplifying maintenance during long-term furnace operation.
