    Thermal shrinkage and thermal conductivity determine ceramic fiber’s heat resistance ability and thermal insulation ability. 

    Thermal shrinkage is the index to assess ceramic fiber’s heat resistance ability. International regulates when ceramic fiber products heated to a certain temperature, holding 24 hours of high-temperature linear shrinkage expressed ceramic fibers heat resistance.

    Thermal shrinkage value ≤3% of the test temperature for continuous use temperature of the ceramic fiber products. At this temperature amorphous ceramic fiber crystal grain growth is slow, steady performance fibers, elastic.

    Thermal conductivity is a physical property of matter, is the only indicator to characterize ceramic fiber paper insulation properties.

Ceramic fiber is a hybrid structure made from solid fiber and air composition structure, its porosity was 93%. A large number of low thermal conductivity in pores filled with air, and destroyed the continuous network structure of a solid-state molecule, thereby obtaining excellent insulation properties. Number of pore diameter and smaller, along the direction of heat flow is divided from the solid state to the closed state of the fibers more pores, the better the insulating properties of ceramic fibers.
