The application of refractory ceramic fiber in the top of tube heating furnace

     Furnace top spayed by refractory ceramic fiber, is actually a large piece of ceramic fiber product produced by wet process. The fiber placement of this lining is transverse staggered. There is a certain tensile strength in the transverse direction. The tensile strength of the longitudinal (vertical downward) is almost zero。So after a certain period, the weight of the fiber itself produces a downward force that leaves the fibers peeling off.  To solve this problem, acupuncture treatment is the most critical step in the furnace. The acupuncture treatment adopts "portable spraying furnace lining needling machine", two dimensions of the sprayed fiber layer are interwoven into three-dimensional meshes, thus improving the tensile strength of fiber. This is like the strength of wet process formed fiber product is far inferior to the dry formed needled fiber blanket.

     Seal and insulation of pipes in the top of furnace. Conversion tube of heating furnace is subjected to high temperature in the furnace. And the tube also works under changing temperature.This kind of temperature difference has a expansion and contraction in both vertical and horizontal.After a certain period, this expansion and contraction results in a gap between the refractory materials and outer wall of metal tube. This gap or seam is also called through straight seam.

     No matter what refractory material and insulation material, under normal temperature and short time, the integral combination of the outer wall of the metal tube is tight and seamless. But under high temperature and after a long period of time, this two different material can not be compact together. No matter how good the elastic insulation material is, after several high temperature phase transitions, the material will contract and lose its resilience. And can not bounce back to fill up the gap.  

     Weld a insulation sleeve around the conversion tube.The insulation sleeve should cover expansion gap around conversion tube outside furnace top. And weld a seal ring around the conversion tube in the insulation sleeve. And stuck water proof fiber inside insulation sleeve. After many times of expansion and contract the gap between refractory ceramic fiber and outer metal tube will not be through straight seam it will like labyrinth. When high temperature gas meet “labyrinth” its speed and temperature will be reduced. This can prevent flame  from going out to steel plate of furnace top which can cause oxidation of steel plate. This also solved problem of  leak of gas, water and flame. In order to prevent melted snow water leak into furnace, a water proof cap should be welded on top of the tube.
