Insulation ceramic fiber is a kind of light weight refractory material. It has the characteristic of light weight, high temperature resistance, good thermal stability, low thermal conductivity, low specific heat capacity and resistance to mechanical vibration.
Now insulation ceramic fiber has been widely used in metallurgy, machinery, petroleum, chemical, electronics, shipbuilding, transportation and light industry. And is also used in cutting-edge science and technology such as aerospace and atomic energy.
Insulation ceramic fiber can be classified into two categories according to its mineral composition: glass fiber and polycrystalline fiber.
The production of glassy fiber adopts the process of "electrical resistance blowing (or twisting), dry needle punching"
The production of polycrystalline fiber adopts the process of “colloidal blowing (or twisting), high temperature heat treatment”
At the same time, the development of wet vacuum forming technology, fiber weaving technology, fiber spraying technology and fiber amorphous material production technology has made the production process and equipment of insulation ceramic fiber and secondary products of insulation ceramic fiber more and more perfect.
