Do you know insulation materials used for marine insulation?
In September, I received an inquiry from Mr. Steve about aluminum foil ceramic fiber blanket with density of 128kg/m3 and size of 7200*610*25mm. When communicated with Steve, I learned that he was purchasing and supplying aluminum foil ceramic fiber blanket for local shipbuilding pants. Steve said that he just started marine insulation business and was not very familiar with aluminum foil ceramic fiber blanket. \
According to our 15 years’ export experience, marine insulation usually use ceramic fiber products, glass wool products and rockwool products. So we separately introduced the characteristics and applications of these products to Steve.
1. Rockwool products accounts for about 60% of marine insulation materials. Although it is excellent in fireproof and inflaming retarding, it has big moisture absorption, resulting in poor insulation effect.
2. Glass wool products have good thermal conductivity and physical properties. They are mainly used for muffler facilities, sound insulation, sound absorption and places requiring high demand in insulation and refractory. While people generally use them for insulation parts under 200 ℃, such as room insulation or pipe insulation.
3. Ceramic fiber products are mainly applied to high-temperature furnace’s insulation. The applicable temperature is up to 1400 ℃.
After knowing about the above information, Steve hoped that we could provide some samples for testing. Steve said that he just started marine insulation business and was not very familiar with aluminum foil ceramic fiber blanket and Double Egret’s rich experience helps him reduce purchase risk.
