     1. The contrast of furnace wall temperature in furnace with module type furnace lining structure and traditional furnace lining structure.

     Layer spread carpet type furnace lining structure is that stainless steel plate and CCEWOOL insulation bulk are fixed on furnace shell by anchor. The heat inside furnace will be transferred to furnace shell along the anchors, there are thousands of anchors in an annealing furnace, so that the heat dissipating capacity from furnace wall will be very large.

     Module type furnace lining structure is that people use ceramic fiber module as furnace lining, fix the ceramic fiber module on furnace shell by short anchor, so that the anchors are avoided to meet the heat inside furnace, and heat dissipating capacity during the process of transmission is reduced seriously.

     What’s more, it is better to lay over CCEWOOL hardener on ceramic fiber module to protect it. This hardener can hold high temperature of 1200 C, and to be constructed with traditional stainless sell plate, it has many advantages. Such as that it won’t be changed shape in heat, be fixed conveniently.

     In furnace of 800C, temperature profiles of furnaces with two structure as image 6.

     In image6(a), we can see temperature in position of welding anchor is higher than furnace shell around, temperature profile map of black line P as image6(b), temperature in position of welding anchor is showed as a mountain. Temp on furnace shell is 65~75C. 

     Image7 is furnace wall temperature profile in module type structure. For there is no anchor, temp on furnace shell is low, and uniform, it is only 40~45C.

     The contract of module type and traditional type shows that module type enhances the insulation and seal property.

     At the complicated part of heat equipment, module type furnace’s replacing traditional type furnace will enhance insulation property and reduce heat dissipating capacity seriously.

     As a light weight, high-efficiency insulation material, CCEWOOL ceramic fiber module has more technology advantages that traditional type, as follows:

     (1) low density. Ceramic fiber fold module furnace lining is lighter as 70% than light-weight insulation brick lining, as 75_80% than mortar lining, so that it will reduce the stress on the steel structure of furnace, extend furnace’s operated time.

     (2) low heat capacity . The heat capacity of furnace lining material is direct proportion to the weight of furnace lining, low heat capacity means that furnace absorb less heat during operated, and temperature rise fast. Heat capacity of ceramic fiber is just as 1/7 as light weight clay ceramic brick, it reduces energy consumed heavily, especially it makes a great effect for heating furnace’s energy saving.

     (3)Low thermal conductivity. When Ceramic fiber module is in 400C temperature, thermal conductivity is less than 0.11, in 600, is 0.22, in 1000, is less than 0.28. Is about 1/8 as light clay brick, 

     Great thermal shock resistance and mechanical shock resistance. Ceramic fiber module is pliable, it has a great resistance to heavy mechanical shock and thermal shock.

     (5)Simple construction. Its special anchor type solves the problem that constructed slowly by traditional module, folded module will be inflated and extrude each other after untied. Furnace lining can be used at first time after construction without drying and protect. 

     Till now, energy-saving, environmental protection and voiding glob warming has became the focal point in the whole world, material costs will become a bottleneck in the development of the steel industry. So that people care the heat loss in industry furnace more and more.According to the statistics, continuous system furnaces with CCEWOOL ceramic fiber module, saving rate is 3% to 10%;batch furnaces and thermal equipment energy-saving rate is 10% to 30%, or even higher.

     Modular ceramic fiber can extend the use of the kiln lining life and reduce the furnace heat loss, a new generation of applications crystalline ceramic fiber composite module can not only improve the cleanliness of the furnace, to improve product quality, but also can play a good energy saving effect. Therefore, industrial furnaces, especially in the steel industry furnace should be designed to maximize the use CCEWOOL ceramic fiber modules as furnace linings, should make full use of the old furnace repair time, will lay bricks or layers to the ceramic fiber blanket lining modular structure, which is also an important measure to iron and steel industry to achieve sustainable development.
