The differences between spun ceramic fiber blanket and blown ceramic fiber blanket
Ceramic fiber blanket are normally divided into 2 kinds: spun ceramic fiber blanket and blown ceramic fiber blanket. The characteristics and application of them are different for the different ceramic fiber diameter and ceramic fiber distribution.
Comparatively speaking, spun ceramic fiber is longer in fiber length and wider in diameter than blown fiber, so spun ceramic fiber blanket enjoys higher rupture strength and is suitable for application which has higher requirements for the rupture strength and tensile strength.
Blown ceramic fiber is thinner in diameter and it enjoys lower thermal conductivity. So it is more suitable for application which has higher requirements for thermal insulation capacity.
Now, the blown ceramic fiber blanket market is dwindling year by year and the spun ceramic fiber blanket enjoys wider application. From the annual sales of Double Egret, spun ceramic fiber occupies 90% sales.
