The Influence of Operation Temperature on Ceramic Fibre Insulation Blanket’s Service Life
This is how the operation temperature influences the service life of ceramic fibre insulation blanket:
1. Under suitable operation temperature, the characteristic of ceramic fiber is comparatively stable, without the collision of outer strength; the service life of ceramic fiber blanket can reach 5 to 10 years.
2. We should determine the application temperature of the blanket according to corrosive component of the fuel the furnace used like gas, oil or coal.
3. For furnace that using reducing gas should adopt high purity synthetic material ceramic fiber needling blanket as furnace linings and spray corrosive protections coatings to improve the chemical stability of furnace linings, wind resistant capacity and reduce the thermal shrinkage of the linings. In order to achieve the same effect of the fiber linings under reducing gas and oxidizing gas, we’d better calculate the thickness of the furnace lining according to the component of reducing gas.
