The difference and application of insulation ceramic bulk and rock wool
This issue we will continue to introduce the production process difference between insulation ceramic bulk and rock wool.
3. Production process.
Insulation ceramic bulk is produced by melting high-purity clay clinker, alumina powder, silica powder, chromite sand and other raw materials at high temperature in an industrial electric furnace. Then the melted raw material is blown into fiber by compressed air or spun into fiber by spinner. And the fibers are collected by collector to form insulation ceramic bulk. Insulation ceramic bulk can be further processed into ceramic fiber blanket, ceramic fiber board, ceramic fiber paper, ceramic fiber cloth, ceramic fiber rope etc. Insulation ceramic bulk is a kind of high-efficiency insulation material, which has the characteristics of light weight, high strength, oxidation resistance, low thermal conductivity, good flexibility, corrosion resistance, small heat capacity and sound insulation.
Rock wool is an inorganic fiber made of natural rock such as basalt, gabbro, dolomite, iron ore, bauxite, etc. as the main raw material. These raw material are melted through high temperature and processed into fiber. Rock wool fiber can be processed into various products such as plates, pipes, felts, belts, etc., and can be used for thermal insulation, fire prevention, sound absorption, anti-vibration of construction and industrial equipment, pipes, kilns.
Above is the introduction of the difference of insulation ceramic bulk and rock wool. Through comparison we know that their difference are big. But both of them have wide application. We will continue to introduce in the next issue, so stay tuned.
