Lightweight refractory material’s development
Common ceramic fiber products including ceramic fiber paper, ceramic fiber, ceramic fiber blanket. Below is a brief introduction of ceramic fiber board and other lightweight refractory materials’ development and its current situation. Lightweight refractory material means high porosity, low bulk density and low thermal conductivity. It is usually used as thermal insulation material in industrial furnace and other thermal devices. Classification standards include the bulk density, temperature and product shape, etc. Ceramic fiber board has been widely used in ceramic kilns for its light weight, easy construction and easy operation. Rapid development of lightweight refractory in recent years, especially the development of light mullite brick, ceramic fiber paper, ceramic fiber, ceramic fiber blanket and mullite fiber, provides necessary guarantee of material and energy-saving effect in constructive ceramic kiln. In the early period, lightweight refractory material is featured by lightweight clay brick, which has a limited refractory working temperature. In the late 1990s, hollow ball brick has been developed. At the beginning of this century, refractory fiber technology develops rapidly. The technology of pressing refractory fiber into board, carpet and other shaped refractory materials has gradually improved and the refractory working temperature continues to increase, thus bringing about the current product series of refractory and insulation materials.
