CCEWOOL Views—introduction of hot blast furnace in steel plant
Hot blast furnace is the main equipment in Iron and steel factory. Normally, one blast furnace need 3-4 hot blast furnaces. The hot blast furnace is used to produce high temperature wind which is over 1000C for the blast-furnace. At present, the most advanced hot blast furnace can produce the wind with 1300C.
There are two types of Hot blast furnace, regenerative hot blast furnace and continuous heat exchange hot blast furnace. As the high temperature of ceramic heat-change device is not perfect now, the regenerative hot blast furnace is more popular. In order to provide continuous hot air, it need two hot blast furnaces to alternately work at least.
According to combustion mode, the regenerative hot blast furnace is classified to internal combustion chamber stove, external chamber stove and Jet-vortex gas flows in pre-chamber. Improving the temperature of hot air which is the most important for the technology of blast furnace. How to improve the temperature of hot air is the direction of research. The common used ways are mixing burning high calorific value gas , or increasing the heat exchange area of hot blast stove checker brick, or exchanging the material and density of checker brick, etc.
