The difference between ceramic fibre insulating material blanket and ceramic fibre felt?
Clients often regard ceramic fibre insulating material blanket as ceramic fibre insulating felt. In fact, ceramic fibre blanket and ceramic fibre felt are entirely different products. Although their raw material and application are similar, but there still exist many differences between them.

1. Density
CCEWOOL ceramic fibre felt’s density ranges from 220kg/m3 to 250kg/m3, ceramic fibre blanket density is 96kg/m3 and 128kg/m3. So ceramic fibre felt is a kind of hard material compared with ceramic fibre blanket. Ceramic fibre blanket is fluffy, made from ceramic fibre bulk by needling method.
2.Application
CCEWOOL ceramic fibre insulating material blanket can be wrapped and folded because its’ soft. And ceramic fibre blanket has a wide range of applications. CCEWOOL ceramic fibre felt is relatively hard, can’t be folded or wrapped only tile. For example, CCEWOOL ceramic fibre blanket can be used for high temperature pipe insulation but ceramic fibre felt is not available.
3.Insulation effect
CCEWOOL ceramic fibre insulating material blanket can impeding hot flue well because it is relatively fluffy and having a lot of gaps. The surface of ceramic fibre felt will become rough when its density reaches 220kg/m3. And it will have gaps while using on the furnace lining. Its insulation effect is not as good as ceramic fibre blanket.
From the above analysis, we learn that ceramic fibre insulating blanket material is different from ceramic fibre insulating felt material. So we should pay more attention to the differences between them.
