Advantages of selecting ceramic fiber boards as furnace lining as follows:
1) Low density: ceramic fiber furnace lining is 75% lighter than lightweight insulation bricks lining,90%- 95% lighter than castable lining.Adopt ceramic fiber products as furnace lining can greatly reduce the load of steel structure, extend furnaces’ service life.
2) Low heat capacity (amount of stored heat): the heat capacity of ceramic fiber boards is about 1/10 of light weight heat resistant lining and castable lining ,and the weight of furnace lining is proportional to the heat capacity of lining materials. Low heat capacity plays a great role in the furnace’s start-up and shutdown,which can bring obvious energy-saving effect.
3) Low thermal conductivity: the thermal conductivity of ceramic fiber boards is just 1/10 of light weight heat resistant lining, the thermal conductivity effect is significant.
4) Simple construction: Don’t leave expansion joints during construction,workers through basic training can be on post soon.
5)No ovens: Once furnace lining construction is completed can be put into use without oven process.
6)Good sound insulation: ceramic fiber can lower frequencies less than 1000 Hz noise,when the sound waves less than 300HZ, sound insulation capacity is better than conventional insulation materials, which can significantly reduce noise pollution.
7) High heat sensitive: the heat sensitive of ceramic fiber boards lining is much better than conventional refractory fiber lining, high heat-sensitive of ceramic fiber lining is more adapted to industrial furnace’s automatic control.
8)Great chemical stability: Aluminum silicate ceramic fiber is neutral acidic materials, in addition to react with strong acid, it is not etched by another weak acid, alkali ,water, oil and steam, and not wetting with lead, aluminum and copper.
