Story of thermal insulation ceramic fiber board
We received an inquiry from Thomas, a South African customer, about ceramic fiber board on linkedin in early October. We learn that Thomas is mainly responsible for technology and procurement after several brief emails.
The company he works is a professional furnace installation and engineering company in South Africa and is also engaged in some sales of ceramic fiber products .This procurement is mainly for glass furnace insulation.
Thomas said, “Ceramic fiber board is common insulation material. General methods of construction is welding hooked nails, racking up frames and then bundling by wire, which not only wastes time, but the insulation materials will fall off soon after a very short time so that the insulating effect will be greatly reduced. Though thermal insulating coating materials appear on the market in recently years and painting in layers can solve this problem, the key question is that the thermal insulating coating drying time is too long to be constructed practically if the device temperature is high and requires a thick layer of coating.” The above bothers him so much that he wants to find other solutions.
After getting feedback, we introduced him the high temperature adhesive developed by Double Egret. When there is need of bonding, we only have to paint the high temperature adhesive on one side of ceramic fiber board and stick it onto the surface needing insulation. The higher the temperature is, the stronger the bond strength becomes. Because the adhesive itself is high temperature resistant, we don't need to worry about adhesive’s failure in high temperature.
High temperature adhesive bonds firmly and it will not fall off in long-term use. So it can be used in vibrating, rotating, mobile devices, etc. Applying high temperature adhesive can also increase the heat insulation and sealing effect, extend the life of ceramic fiber and reduce the impact of heat flow on the insulation material.
Thomas hopes that we can provide samples of ceramic fiber board and high temp adhesive for testing after knowing the information.
