     The application of insulation rock wool in agricultural field has been developed with the development of the non-soil culture technology, which has been in the history for more than 100 years. Denmark, France, the United States, Spain, Poland and the Netherlands all produce agricultural rock wool.Grodon in Denmark accounts for more than 60% of global sales. Production plants are distributed in Denmark, the Netherlands and the United States. Its sales network spreads all over the world.With the continuous development of China's facility agriculture and the extensive promotion of greenhouse facilities, China has also become one of the countries with the greatest development speed of facility agriculture and the largest greenhouse area in the world.

     Agricultural insulation rock wool is made from basalt approximately 60%, coke 20%, limestone 20%,  plus a small amount of iron slag. After high temperature melting and forming, the final compression, solidified into specific density and then cut.In this process, the adhesives with the surface hydrophilic function were added, which makes rock wool has good hydrophilicity. Density of agricultural rock wool is relatively small, generally 60kg/m3-80kg/m3. It has a 3% volume of fiber and 97% of pore volume, so it has good air permeability and water retention. After 1600 degrees Celsius of high temperature extraction, it is sterile and pollution-free, it becomes the best substrate material for soil cultivation.
